ROMERO PARTICIPATES IN BIKE ACROSS KANSAS

I was blessed in June 2009 with an opportunity to fulfill a dream of participating in the Bike Across Kansas (BAK). Several friends & I embarked on this journey which encompassed a 550 mile ride beginning on June 5th, 2009 at the Colorado border and concluded on June 13, 2009 at the Missouri border.

We were able to enjoy the wide open Kansas landscape from a whole new perspective via handcycle/bicycle. Many new friends were made from the Wichita area and abroad within the cycling community.

We were able to enjoy many small country towns throughout the trip and the hospitality of the local townships.

With a week of perfect riding weather coupled with relatively little mechanical failure this was a trip of a lifetime.
