Wheelchair Sports generally has a clinic and a shoot around each year. There are some members interested in regular play and possibly a team. The Kansas Wheelhawks have provided instruction at WSI clinics in the past and have offered assistance to those interested in getting a team started in the Wichita area. Ray says "We're developing a JUNIOR team. On Jan 17th we're hosting a developmental morning with games in the afternoon versus the Nebraska Red Dawgs -- an existing Junior team. See if you can stir up a few interested teenagers to come down and give this a look-see." Parks & Recreation of Topeka and Kansas Accessible Sports, Inc. will be hosting a wheelchair basketball clinic and game for area youth with disabilities.
