Teams will then be put into an eight team single elimination bracket with games at 3:00, 3:25, 3:50, 4:15, 4:40, 5:05, and the final game at 5:30.

Come out and support the WSI recreational basketball team which will be competing in a fund-raising tournament this Saturday at Collegiate High School (see directions below). The fundraiser is to benefit the National Collegiate Adaptive Athletic Association founded by WSI member Rob Egan. The tournament will began at 10:30am until 5:00pm and admission is $3 per person.

Directions: The school is located at 1221 N. Webb Road, at the intersection of 13th and Webb. The gymnasium is on the Webb Road entrance of campus just past the Country Club Business Park. There is a Wichita Collegiate School lighted sign with a scrolling marquee at that entrance and the gymnasium is straight back.   

If you have ever had an interest in playing wheelchair basketball, here is your opportunity. WSI is trying to field a recreational team for a fundraiser the weekend of April 2 & 3, 2011 in Wichita; NO EXPERIENCE is necessary & equipment will be provided. We are attempting to assist a fellow WSI member and the organization, National Collegiate Adapted Athletics Association (NCAAA), which he represents. Please contact me ASAP (Wayne Romero) if you are interested or If you have any questions. The deadline for inclusion on the team is Friday Jan. 28, 2011.

Please join WSI in supporting the wheelchair basketball teams from Kansas and Oklahoma competing in a tournament this Saturday Nov. 13th at WSU. The teams have partnered with WSI in an effort to develop a team in the Wichita area. Please see pdf fl-yer for more details.

Wheelchair Sports generally has a clinic and a shoot around each year. There are some members interested in regular play and possibly a team. The Kansas Wheelhawks have provided instruction at WSI clinics in the past and have offered assistance to those interested in getting a team started in the Wichita area.
