It’s time for the annual Wheelchair Sports Inc. Cyclefest Omnium Handcycle Races. June 3rd, 4th & 5th. This year the weekend will start off on Friday evening with the historic flat and fast 14k Kechi Time Trial course. Saturday’s Road Race will be a blast to the past with the return of the Atlanta course. The Old Town Social will follow in the Evening. The 24 mile loop broke into four 6 mile straight lines with a rolling hills throughout. Sunday racers will hammer the Criterium course at Oak Park VENTURES BUSINESS PARK to wrap up the weekend of racing followed by the Awards Dinner again at Bubba’s BBQ.

2011 Wichita Cyclefest Omnium June 3, 4, & 5
A Paralympic Sport Event Presented by Wheelchair Sports, Inc.
Entry: $30 per race. $75 for Omnium (all 3 races). Prize Money will be calculated as an Omnium based on cumulative points earned from each race. The Omnium will include **3 RACES**, listed below. Individual Race Awards TBD.

Woman- two $125 stipends

All reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card. Hotel will not hold any reservations unless secured. WSI will cover racer rooms at checkout. Racer Transport: If flying in and will need transport to and from hotel and events, we will need your itinerary by June 1st.
Sat. Dinner/Social @ 6 PM and Sun. Award Dinner Noon: Post Race in “Old Town” Wichita.
Race Support: SAG on RR. Wheel off/wheel on @ RR & Crit. (please bring your spare). Snacks, drinks and water to cool down if needed. "QUADS" (and others with heat issues) SAG will have water to pour or spray you with at each race.

Kechi Time Trial: Friday June 3 @ 7 PM. Registration closes 6:30: The TT is located just north of Wichita on Oliver St. in Kechi. It is a very flat North/South course. It starts at the entrance to the Kechi City Park, North on Oliver to a turnaround and finishes near the start.
Atlanta Road Race Saturday June 4 @ 8:15 AM. Caravan to venue. Meet Race Hotel Lobby @ 6 AM: Race is located outside of Wichita and is a 24-mile loop through rolling hill terrain at the base of the Flint Hills. Racer Dinner/Social after.
Criterium Sunday June 5 @ 9:45 AM. Registration ends 9:15. Caravan to Venue Meetin Race Hotel Lobby @ 8 AM: Located on North edge of Wichita, Kansas in Ventures Business Park. The Crit. is flat & fast course in the heart of Down Town .8 mile a lap. Racer Omnium Awards Dinner after.

Online registration at: www.wcsports.org. Current USCF License is mandatory and must be presented at registration. One day license are available for purchase ($10.00) at on site registration. US Handcycling / USCF Rules Apply! Approved ANSI/SNEL helmets are mandatory whenever a rider is on a moving bike. The race fee includes the insurance fee ($3.00) and KCA surcharge ($1.00).
General information:
* All Handcycling racers will need to be members of US Handcycling($20). See: www.ushandcycling.org
* All USHF rules apply for handcyclist. Refer to www.ushandcycling.org
* A standard athlete waiver must be signed for each day. Registration Closes 30min prior to start time. Race day registration opens Friday 5:00 PM at Kechi Park; Saturday 7:00 AM Atlanta Community Building; Sunday 9am Down Town.
* If there is a tie in points after all three events, the best placed in the Road Race will be the tiebreaker!
* Numbers to be pinned on right side of jersey/bike for all races, one number for all races. No sleeveless jerseys.
*Race will be held rain, shine or wind. Promoter reserves the right to alter race, race time, combine categories and awards.
